Welcome to my website. I am Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, Chief Executive of the Ghana Chamber of Mines. At the Chamber, people simply call me Ken or Togbi.
I joined the Chamber of Mines after serving with the Telecom Chamber, starting on June 1, 2025. Before that, I completed my national service as Chief Servant at Graphic Communications Group Limited, Ghana’s leading media organisation. I was also Chief Operating Officer at Multimedia Group Ltd (Multi TV) from 2010 to 2011, and earlier, from 2003 to 2006, I worked there as Chief Technology Officer and General Manager of Joy FM. Between my roles at Multimedia Group, I served as Managing Director of Optimum Media Prime (OMP), a communications and event management company.
I also worked as Senior Projects Engineer at Fanel Ltd, where I designed and installed electrical building services for three multi-story office complexes in the capital, among other projects.
I recently completed an MA in IT Law from the University of Ghana School of Law. I also hold a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Swiss Management Centre, an MBA from Leicester University (UK), and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. I am a certified project management professional and have a Certificate in Company Direction from IoD UK. I am a Fellow of several professional bodies, including the Ghana Institution of Engineers, Ghana Institute of Management, Institute of Chartered Economists in Ghana, Board Room Institute, and African Project and Programme Management Association. I am also a member of the Ghana Journalists Association and the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana.

I serve on several boards. I coordinate my year group at St. Augustine’s College, Cape Coast, and convene both the Media Coalition Against Galamsey and the Coalition Against Galamsey, Ghana.
I am a strong believer in Ghana and hold these views:
- Ghana’s development depends on Ghanaians leading key industries at home and working with top global partners to grow our industries.
- Ghanaians should know our roots, take pride in them, and use that foundation to shape our future.
- We can only develop by staying true to who we are as Ghanaians.
- As Ghanaians, we should support each other, learn from our failures, and keep moving forward.
- Only Ghanaians can lead Ghana’s development; no one else will do it for us.
- The time for complaints has passed. Now, we should ask ourselves, what change can I make?
I am passionate about agri-business and believe Ghana and Africa can be transformed through technology-driven, integrated agribusiness—from production to value addition and marketing.
My vision is to transform Abutia Kpota, where I have my farms, into a model town within 30 years through modern agri-business.
