Philip Amoateng joins Ghanaians Making Exploits in the Telecom Industry Globally

Airtel Rwanda has appointed Philip Amoateng as its new managing director. Amoateng was the chief executive officer of Tigo from 2016 until it was bought by Bharti Airtel in December 2017. The Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) approved the merger and formal acquisition of Tigo by Airtel on 30 January. 

Amoateng has held various operational, financial and strategy positions while working for Millicom over the past sixteen years and is a member of the Association of Chartered Accountants and graduate of the University of Leicester with an MBA. 

Richard Acheampong has also been appointed the Ag. Chief Marketing Officer at MTN Rwanda, Kenneth Kwame Gomado the former CFO has now gone on expatriation with Pan African responsibility. There a a lot of Ghanaians operating in the C-Suites and contributing to the global Telecom industry
