Rev. Bro. Frederick McGlynn; Do Something
Guys, I hope you all remember Bro Frederick Mcglynn(Aka: old Freddie), our famous American additional maths teacher?
Some of us were very privileged to have sat under his maths tutelage for 5 years( Form 3 to Upper 6) and I can confidently attribute my mathematical, analytical and engineering skills to this great man.

Those days the additional maths sessions were alternated between him and Mr Abbey, another maths guru.
In one of his class sessions, he posed a question to us that I still find relevant today.

The question was; “ what if we go into the exam and we realized that all the questions are extremely difficult way beyond our imagination. What are we supposed to do?” The class was silent and there was no response from anyone. He responded to the question in his usual American slang English saying “ YOU DO SOMETHING”.

This lesson still reverberates in my life up till today.
Whenever life presents me with insurmountable problems or challenges I don’t just throw my hands into the air and give up. I do something about it no matter how little it may seem. By so doing God in his infinite mercy sees my “do something” efforts help me figure it out and secondly I am better off than someone who does nothing.

Have a good weekend guys
