IMANI is not NPP, NDC, but has done more for NDC!

Frank says, I keep saying that it is not easy to go looking for what IMANI did when NPP was in power. Any serious student of history and journalism can do this simple fact checking, but alas why I ‘m I surprised? This is not what obtains in Ghana.

It does appear and will always be that one party will be more of a delinquent than the other and particularly how that party takes criticisms reflects the calibre of people it has. During Kufour’s regime, the President himself was orderly and charged his appointees, more matured and well versed in the art of governance to be circumspect of how they responded to critics. So in spite of some of the following harsher criticisms that came from IMANI, the response of the Kufour administration was rather matured. You can even fast forward to the NPP’s Nana Addo who WAS not in POWER but had his Free SHS policy chopped into pieces ONLY BY IMANI, the Think tank, with six major articles against it and 36 media appearances. Then again, NO SINGLE MEMBER OF THE NPP insulted IMANI except Kennedy Agyapong who said in desperation “IMANI can go to hell”. Now folks you all know what the NDC since 2009 has done to all critics. Either some are mercenaries, sell outs, spies, false prophets, saboteurs, ghosts, fetish priests and priestesses and quite frankly very base remarks and yet there is NO OFFICIAL SANCTION OF THE PERSONS WHO DO THESE THINGS.

All these notwithstanding, even though we at IMANI offers rare praise, we have done more to support this NDC government than any other Think tank, YES. Especially on unfair accusation by the NPP in the matter of the Ridge Hospital construction, the Economic Partnership Agreements (IMANI was the only Think tank that helped government with facts and persuasion check with Haruna Iddrisu and Hannah Tetteh), the partial privatisation of the ECG (check with Omane Boamah and Energy Minister) President Mahama’s sanitation project (check with Local Government Minister). IMANI NEVER PRAISED THE NPP UNDER KUFOUR FOR ANY OF THEIR WISE ACTIONS IT TOOK.  Read the below and I hope this ends the funny analogy that IMANI unfairly criticises the NDC!!
