The Chinese are still in the Galamsey game

Four suspected Chinese illegal miners have been arrested by Op VANGUARD personnel in the Western Region. in the general area of Dominase-Nkwanta in the Amenfi West District

Albert Einstein is widely credited with saying, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.” So we cannot expect any different outcomes from this #StopGalamsey war if all we do is to deport the Chinese we arrest. So they keep coming back to destroy our lands and water bodies, raping us of all resources and putting the sustainability of our civilization at risk. What is the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining doing, what were the KPIs, what have been the results and what is the policy underpinning the work of this ad-hoc body?

So Operation Vanguard reports on the 12th June 2019

Four (4) suspected Chinese illegal miners have been arrested by Operation Vanguard personnel in the Western Region. The operation, which was conducted yesterday was in the general area of Dominase-Nkwanta in the Amenfi West District.
