Tsiame Nunenyoza 2019 opened with a Quiz Competition
The Tsiame Nunenyoza has started with a weeklong activity heralded by a quiz competition. The theme for the festival is Promoting Unity and Development for a Prosperous Tsiame. Other activities planned for the week include on Thursday 18th April Cleaning and Communal labor, Nugbidodo and Float through surrounding towns. On Friday 19th April there will Religious activities at All churches & Traditional homes, Health screening to be held at Tsiame EP School Park, and a Delegates’ Conference. The climax will be on Saturday 20th April with the Nunenyoza Grand durbar & Fundraising on Sunday the 21st of April. There will be Thanksgiving Service at all all churches & Traditional homes in the town. Monday will close the festival with a picnic at the Tsiame RC School Park.

The quiz competition which was keenly contested among the three basic schools namely Tsiame M.A ‘A’, Tsiame M.A ‘B’ and AME Zion Asadame ended successfully with Asadame AME Zion represented by Amu Mawuenyefia and Dzenunye Hope clinching the first position, followed by Tsiame MA ‘B’ and Tsiame MA ‘A’ respectively. Dotse Rosemary and Beblie Mary were the contestants for Tsiame MA ‘A and contesting for or Tsiame MA ‘B’ were Atsu Theresa and Adu Dinah The competition was very keenly contested with the students showing their academic prowess and dexterity.

The quiz was divided into 4 rounds, of the following subject areas; English, Mathematics, Integrated Science and General Knowledge respectively.
Mr. Christopher Hanyabui was the quiz master, while Mr. Worlanyo Bedie was the timekeeper and Mr. Mawuli Abraham Atatsi manned the scoreboard.
In a brief speech at the end of the quiz, the president of Tsiame Dunenyo Movement organizers of the quiz congratulated all the contestant for exhibiting such a splendid performance. He urged them to take their studies seriously and be disciplined. He assured the students that come next year, the competition was going to be bigger and better with attractive prizes for the students and their schools. Prizes and certificate of participation will be awarded to the contestants on Saturday at the grand durbar grounds. The children refreshed at the end of the quiz celebration. Speaking to the students they were happy that the festival begun with a focus on they the students the future of Tsiame and they committed to preparing better for next year’s quiz competition.
