Operation Vanguard operational updates for Tuesday, 18 December 2018

Operation Vanguard on Monday, 17 December 2018 conducted patrols to illegal mining sites at Drawl in the Prestea Huni Valley Municipality.

The patrol team arrested one suspected Indian illegal miner, Beant Sing 24. The patrol team also seized one excavator fuse, 3 excavator monitors, 2 excavator control boards and 2 excavator batteries. The suspect has been handed over to the Bogoso police station for further investigation.

Bogoso Police Commander, the Media will be coming to ask questions what you have done to this young man. The District Chief Executive for Prestea Huni-Valley District, Mr. Mozart K. Owuh, you are the Chairman of the District Mining Committee and the District Security Council. You are failing on the job that the President gave you. We shall be asking for your job if you do not live to the high expectation of the high office you occupy. 

The leaders in the community, Chiefs, Religious leaders, the Legal Small Scale Miners in the District, the Media etc, what are you doing. We all need to wake up from our slumber, #StopGalamsey is still on, the ban has only been lifted from legal small scale miners whose licenses have been vetted and authorized.
