4 Chinese arrested by Operation Vanguard in Agona Amenfi

The Chinese scourge in this Galamseyer fight has to end. It will require the Police Investigators, the Prosecutors and the Judges taking cue from the comments of the President to his Chinese couterpart when he met him. The Ghanaian laws will have to bite and serve as a deterrent to these Chinese.

But who keeps on recruiting these Chinese Galamseyers into Ghana. How are they getting into Ghana. Now they are supposed to get visas in China like we do here in Ghana before we go to China. Are these directives being followed, what reasons do they give before the visas are granted to them. What are the Immigration Officers doing about them. The Western and Eastern Forward Operating Bases (FOB) of the Operation Vanguard on Tuesday 18 September 2018 arrested 4 Chinese and 4 Ghanaians suspected illegal miners. The Operations were conducted in Agona Amenfi in the Amenfi Central District of the Western Region where the 4 Chinese were arrested and Osino-Dwenase in the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern Region where the 4 Ghanaians were arrested.

The suspects have since been handed over to the Asankragua and the Anyinam police station respectively for further investigation.

Items seized on both sites included 1 Sany Control Board, 1 Sany Monitor, 3 Water pumping machines, 8 Carpets, 10 Shovels, 1 Wheel barrow, 2 Pick axes, 2 Head pans and a set of tools.

At the FOB East site 4 Chanfans, 1 pumping machine and 3 water hoses were immobilised.
