Operation Vanguard Arrest 2 Chinese at Taabusere – 11th August 2018

What has happened to these two Chinese, has Immigration been brought in, what are the police doing to get them into court, do we have a good case against them. Or have they gone back to mining.

The Cat Excavator that was found engaged in the illegality, who brought into Ghana, who cleared it? Whose land are they mining on, who is the DCE in Amansie East District and who are the MP(s) this this district? We need answers to all of these questions if we are to deal with the crisis that confront us as a nation. This is what Operation Vanguard Commander reported of their 11th August operations. 

The Forward Operating Base (FOB) Ashanti of Operation Vanguard have arrested 2 Chinese nationals suspected of engaging in illegal mining at Taabusere the in the Amansie East District of the Ashanti region during patrols conducted on Saturday 11 August 2018.

The suspects were handed over to the Datano Police for further investigation.

Similar patrols conducted on the 9 and 10 August, 2018 by the various FOBs led to the seizure of several items but made no arrest.

The patrols were conducted in Kwabeng , Damang and Mbaa Baase in the Amenfi West and Huni Valley Districts of the Western region, Apaabena in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central region and Amponyasi, Atakwamekurom in the Adansi South and North Districts of the Ashanti region.
2 Excavators, 33 Changfan machines,5 Water pumping machines, 1 DAF Excavator engine, 16 Floating platforms, 4 Washing platforms and 4 Cylinders were immobilised. Items seized includes 2 Control boards, 4 Monitors, 4 Batteries, 1 Water pumping machine and 1 Excavator turbo charger.
