NShoreNa Open Defecation Name and Shame Campaign… SHAME on you Winneba DCE, SHAME on you Omanhene of Winneba….
As promised, the NShoreNa Open Defecation Name and Shame Campaign is here… As you know, during the NShoreNa Walkathon, which took us trekking from Aflao to Half Asini, we encountered and documented tons of photos and video footage on the issue of environmental sanitation along the 600 kilometer coastline of Ghana…
We of NShoreNa, like most Ghanaians, are not surprised of yet another Cholera outbreak!!! While we want to avoid blame-game name-shame, we find it difficult not to single out the DCEs and Chiefs of various communities, under whose supervision and authority, such primitive practices florish, to put it mildly, in modern day Ghana!!!
Please forgive us if we step on some toes. On Wednesday 27th August, we shall release the next batch, and would implore you all to share this further, through your various media…
We owe it to Mother Ghana and generations yet to be born, to keep our environment clean and protected…
A scene from Winneba beach, where boys and girls, men and women openly and shameless defecate, 24/7/365, with everybody just looking on!!! The beautiful beachfront has also become Winneba’s landfill sight for garbage!!! Does Winneba have a DCE and a Paramount Chief???  SHAME on you, Winneba DCE, SHAME on you, Omanhene of Winneba!!!
Your actions and inactions are among the reasons why CHOLERA is endemic in Ghana, particularly in the coastal towns and villages, and why Ghana is number one in West Africa and number two in Africa for poor sanitation… SHAME ON YOU!!!!!
Thank you all very much.
