Collins Quarcoo Accused of shooting Pius Kwain

The Circuit Court presided over by Justice Emmanuel Essandor has remanded Collins Quarcoo who allegedly shot and injured a journalist and two others at the Ablekuma Central Collation Center on the 7th December during the general elections.
The accused has been charged with six counts of causing unlawful harm and use of offensive weapons. He pleaded not guilty to all six counts.

Narrating the facts of the case to court, Inspector Eric Pobi told the court the accused claim to be working with the national security and during an argument between agents of NDC and NPP at the Collation Center in Ablekuma, he allegedly fired shots in which in the process injured a journalist with the Globalnewsgh.com and two others who are currently receiving treatment at the hospital. He was arrested and granted police enquiry bail to attend to the hospital for treatment.

Counsel for the accused person, Fazeil Cisse prayed the court to grant his client bail as he has a fixed place of abode and a public servant who was assigned by his superiors on the day of the incident.

He told the court that he is an officer of the National security and stationed at the office of the president and had a revive number of Jh/pol/19/325.
My client is also a victim of an injury and the court can also see how bad my client is as he also suffered a blow from a big cement block which was used to hit him.

Though the prosecution did not oppose to the bail application the judge adjourned the case to 24th December and remanded the accused to police custody on the grounds that all the victims are still receiving treatment and hope by a weeks time they will be fine.
