Prosecution of Perpetuators of Election Violence has begun

Thank God, the prosecution of the perpetrators of violence during these elections have begun. (Graphic image attached, but needed to send the right message)

The gunman who shot Pius Asiedu at the collation of elections results at the Ablekuma Central collation centre in Accra round 2:30 am of Tuesday, December 8 would be appearing in court today. We pray that the prosecution & the judge would do a good job.

But we cannot leave it to chance we need to get lawyers sitting in watching brief for us in court so there would be no hanky panky business. We demand the maximum sentence for this gunman when convicted. I pray all media houses would also send their reporters there to ensure we shine as much sunshine on the case that no one can do anything but what is right.

Let us also pray for the Police Officer who also suffered injuries as well as Doreen Ampofo a reporter of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), who got injured from a heavy fall in an attempt to flee from the gunshot and a stone throw recover fully.

We also pray for all others who also suffered any forms of injuries and the families of those who have lost loved once during these elections violence.

I once again call for a thorough & transparent investigation of all cases of violence during these elections and anyone including the law enforcement agencies who are found to have misconducted themselves should be prosecuted and severely punished.

God bless our homeland Ghana.
