Death in Gbane Galamsey Pit – #StopGalamsey

Seven people reported dead in Gbane mining site as a result of explosives by Shanxi mining company.
One of the seven is from Yinduri community but the remaining 6 are from the Gbane community itself.


2 of the 6 are from the clan that the chief comes from.
One out of the seven is alleged to be staff of Shanxi company.
Total number affected by the explosion was 13. The rest of the five are in critical conditions.
The Gbane community is in state of mourning.
Actions such as press conference and demonstrations against Shanxi are being contemplated on by community members
