God’s questions – He does not need our answers we do-MOTIVATION FOR THE WEEK!!!
If you had a friend coming to your house for the first time and he called and said that he was lost, you would ask, “Where are you?” If he can tell you where he is, you can tell him how to get to your house. You’ve got to know where you are before you can receive directions to where you need to be. So, God asked Adam “Where are you?” He questioned Adam to make him think. Make no mistake about it…. God knows the answers to life’s questions that He asks us:
To Adam: “Where are you?”
To Cain: “Where is Abel your brother?”
To Jacob: What is your name?”
To Pharaoh: “How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me?”
To Balaam: “Who are these men with you?”
To Solomon: “What shall I give you?”
To Satan: “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
To Job: “Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge?”
To Isaiah: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?”
To Peter: “Who do you say I am?” and “Do you love me?”
To the Jews, about Lazarus: “Where have they laid him?”
To Saul: “Why are you persecuting me?”
To YOU n I: All of the above!!!
Rarely do we find men or women who willingly engage in hard, solid thinking. Today, there is an almost universal quest for easy answers and half-baked solutions. Nothing pains some people more than having to think for themselves! Whenever God asks a question, it is not to gain information. His questions are the doors to discovery about ourselves and/or about Himself. How would you, in this week, give an answer to each of those questions posed above, to the Saints and Sinners. You are the only one that can answer for yourself. If you don’t learn to answer them now you will have to answer them sooner of later. However, don’t pretend you have all the answers. But the questions are certainly worth thinking about.
May your Week not be Weak but with Him! I send you my prayerful wishes for the week
